Our grooming competition draws stylists of all levels of skill because it is a relaxed and positive learning environment for everyone who attends.
If you want to get into competing, but are afaid of the crowds, this is a great place to get your feet wet and feed your competitive spirit!

2012 WAPPS Online Grooming Competition!
One monthly winner will receive a small rosette, and at the end of the year- (this would run Jan-Dec 2012), the member with the most monthly wins will receive a trophy & small grooming tool gift along with the title "National WAPPS Pet Stylist of the Year". Each month the winner will receive a banner spot on our website to which they can link as a promotion for their business if they choose.
Those who enter each month & do not place can re-submit the same photo for consideration in any of the the next months' contests, but will not automatically be resubmitted by myself- so if you do not place, be sure to send an email to me so that I can include the same photos in the next month's competition.!
Two skills levels. Mixed & pure breed dogs of your choice. No kitties (sorry).
A single stacked before & after with no embellishments such as bows or bandannas, groomer is not required to be in the photo, photo must be very clear, high resolution and full size with no dimension shrinkage. Again, only one before and after photo from the side view with the dog stacked, please. No grooming salon promo or signage in either photo, please.
It would be an honor system for who did the grooming and who takes credit for it just as any other online contest, so please be honest! Photos do not become WAPPS property once they are submitted- meaning that you can use the groom for other contests if you wish. Critiques and placements will be judged either by myself or by a national or international esteemed competition judges as available.

Registration is now up and open for this year's HAWS Extreme Makeover grooming event. Please, feel free to pass this on to any other groomers you know. Also, if you don't want to compete, but still want to help we can still use your help. If any one has questions, let me know. Registration is limited to the first 12 groomers.
